Position Information: The Nurse Practitioner or Physician’s Assistant will work in collaboration with a physician to assess the physical needs of patients admitted to the emergency room, paying urgent attention to their primary care needs, health conditions and physical injuries or trauma. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians.
Responsible to the Clinic Manager and Sponsoring Physician.
Days: Sunday 7a – 7a (24hr shift) | Monday 7p – 7p (24hr shift) | 1 to 5 weekend rotation
Hours: 48 hours per week with an additional 36 hours per weekend shift every 5th weekend
Pay Range: Salary range between $115,000 and $135,000 depending on experience and final schedule

Typical Working Conditions: Work is performed in an emergency department setting, primarily in patient exam rooms, where the employee will have direct contact with sick and injured patients. There may be times that the patient has a contagious disease. Work is performed in a safe environment, but an environment where direct contact with blood and other bodily fluids may be present.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for prolonged periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposures to communicable diseases and bodily fluids. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.
