We are looking for a full-time administrative assistant in the radiology department of our organization.   This associate will be responsible for ensuring patients are registered, orders are released for the patients scheduled, ensuring pre-certification of scheduled exams is communicated, film management for incoming and outgoing radiology studies.  Will function as administrative assistant to the Radiology Manager.  Will assist radiologic technologists in film, exam retrieval, PACS and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems, and explaining exam preparations to patients.

Location:  100 E College Ave, Colby, Ks    


Days: Monday through Friday

 

Hours: 8 AM to 4:30 PM


Pay Range: Begins at $12.45, dependent upon experience.


What You’ll Do:

 

  • Answer the department telephone and facilitates calls. Schedule or reschedule appointments for the Radiology Department.
  •  Release orders and provide the proper paperwork to patients for radiology exams.
  •  Type memos, procedures, on-call schedules, meeting notes and letters as directed by the Radiology Manager. Serve as film librarian, PACS and EHR administrator. 
  •  Assist technologists as necessary to facilitate timeliness of exam for optimal patient flow.
  •  Teach the EHR system to new employees in the department. 
  • Completes other duties as assigned.


 What You Bring To The Table:


  •  High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Possess interpersonal skills needed to function in a "team" setting
  • Experience in medical and/or office setting.  Prefer previous experience in routine radiology procedures.
  •  Prefer experience in a Radiology atmosphere, medical terminology and computer background.
